Schindler is a leading global manufacturer and service provider for elevators and escalators with subsidiaries in around 130 countries and more than 1'000 branches spanning every continent. Schindler's network includes production sites and R&D centers in North and Latin America, in Europe as well as in China to serve the regional needs of our customers. Schindler elevators and escalators move more than 900 million people every day. Operating revenue of the E&E division amounted to CHF 8.8 billion in 2008.

ALSO is a leading provider in the wholesale and logistics sector for information and communications technology and consumer electronics. It has operations in Switzerland, Germany, Scandinavia, Poland and the Baltic States. In 2008, ALSO generated net sales of CHF 5.2 billion with 1'837 employees.
