Article 5: Pre-selection by the schools
European architectural schools with twelve or more participants may conduct their own pre-selection process. Such schools will subsequently organize an internal competition among each group of twelve students to select the one project which will be submitted to the European competition finals. Example: A final-year course of 30 students may submit three projects for the finals (12 + 12 + 6 = 3 entries). The competition management must be advised that these projects have already been pre-selected. Along with the pre-selected projects, the school must send a name list of all students from whom the winning entry was selected, as well as a brief descriptive (text, 1 drawing typical for the project) of each students project.
The school has to integrate the subject matter of the competition in two lectures, or a seminary or a workshop and must send a list of the titles and a brief description of the content of these lectures, seminaries or workshops.
The pre-selected entries will thus bypass the formal pre-selection process by the competition jury and be directly accepted for the finals.
