"Space for all" – Flows and Forces

This project generates unconventional spatial experiences by merging imaginary "flows" with the "forces" of real elements. It draws inspiration from a precise analysis of the surroundings and creates a dynamic spatial order.

The Idea
This project attempts to merge imaginary “flows” with the “forces” of real elements, creating a spatial-functional model that integrates the requirements of the site. The result is a series of parallel-running ribbon-like spaces that contain traffic, housing, commercial, public, and recreational functions – all in a logical spatial relationship to each other.

The Project
The characteristic visual, functional, and experiential element of the project is a bridge for “slow traffic”. It meanders from west to east, swinging through the neighboring quarters on its way. A green ribbon acts as a barrier to the north behind which leisure and commercial functions are situated. Further ribbons contain south-facing residential buildings, a community centre, and green areas.

The Jury Assessment
A conceptually interesting project that draws its inspiration from a precise analysis of the site. It creates unconventional spatial experiences and achieves good urban integration. However, it shows weaknesses on the level of Architecture for All. This is an intellectually stimulating project that needs to better implement the requirements of the competition.
